Networks II.0

Networks II.0 is a social and business networking solution that allows online communities of enterprises, institutions and individuals to be created for a desired business or social networking need.

A key feature of Networks II.0 is creating and maintaining rich user profiles, including personal and organisation information that allows other network users to search and find the right partner for a business function, as also for enterprises to showcase their product, services or portfolios.

It comes with an integrated set of Search, Messaging and discussion features that foster communication and collaboration amongst network members.

Networks II.0 has been developed on MS ASP.Net 3.5 (MS SQL) platform. The solution can be customized for a given business requirement and provides for easy maintenance and support.

Product Features


	Customizable User Profiles: Multiple inbuilt User Profile types including Individual and Organisation, Investor, Knowledge Expert, etc., which can be customized for a given Social or Business Networking need. Parts of User Profile can be made public or private, both as a mandatory function of the network or defined by the user as part of his/her setting. Public/Private settings determine what information needs to be shown to other network members. The user can maintain Business or Personal Portfolios containing image Galleries and Additional information as part of their profiles.
	User Registration & Approval: The Platform has sophisticated User Registration & User Approval workflow, which can work for both automated (non-governed) and moderated (governed) user registrations.
	User Level Privacy & Notification Settings: User has granule control over their preferences and settings – right from newsletter preferences to notifications and privacy settings
	Single sign-on System and Identity Management Server: To allow 3rd applications to connect to user database and singular identity to access multiple connected platforms.
	Network Messaging: Network Messaging allows users to communicate with other network members, after making a network connection through a connection request. The following message types are available for differing communication: Connection requests Group Joining Requests Regular Messages Notifications & Alerts Others
	Notification Engine: The Network members can subscribe to notifications of various kinds to update them of new activities of interest in the network. They can be of the following Types: System Level Notifications: Ability to notify users thru system level notifications. These notifications are non-intrusive and appear on the homepage or any other designated page Group Notifications: Email notifications are fired whenever new topics are created or any comment is posted on a particular topic. 	Network Connections: A user can find and build an online relationship with another on the network, upon mutual acceptance of a connection request. Upon establishing a connection, both the users can share their profile and other information with each other. Various connection types can be made, viz. Friends, Associates, Vendors, etc. depending on the nature of the network.
	Groups: Discussion Groups can be created and managed by Administrators in a moderated environment or by network members themselves depending on the nature of network. The Groups can be of the following types; Open to All: Allowing any member to join without administer approval By Invitation Only: These Groups require a “Joining Request” to be submitted to the Group Administrator who approves/disapproves the request based on the Terms of reference of a Group. Private: These Groups are special groups where select members are pre-selected and made members of the group. These groups do not have a provision of a joining request. Group invitations: Users can be invited from friend list, Outlook or other mail client contact list or from social networks like Facebook, Orkut, Hi5 etc.
	Abuse Reporting & Management System: Every item that can be posted by user’s can be reported as Abuse by other users. All abuses reported are notified to relevant abuse administrators and can be viewed simultaneously from the administration module for necessary action.
	Search Mechanisms: Users can either search individually for Groups, users and additional content like messages etc. or can perform a global keywords based search thereby consolidating everything under a single search.
	Administration & Control Panel Module: The entire site is controlled thru a centralized control panel capable of managing users, groups, homepage etc.
	Mass Referral System: Send mass referrals to users from friend list, Outlook or other mail client contact list or from social networks like Facebook, Orkut, Hi5 etc.
	Photo Albums: Users can create their own photo albums and upload as many photos as they want too. Comments can also be posted by user’s friends on photo uploaded by user.
	User Scrapbook Function: Allowing friends to post open messages on the scrapbook of a given user.
	Google Analytics Support: For comprehensive site analytics.
	Comprehensive Network Rating & Recommendation Systems: Allowing network members to rate and recommend other members upon establishing an online connection. Also features like “Like IT” allow any member to raise a liking for a profile, comment or other user content.
	Newsletter Subscription: Easy subscription for various network newsletters and alerts.
	Role Based Security: Various Users hierarchies can de defined to allow restricted access to various functions to the network to the members.
